Topics to be Discussed:

  1. Welcome, Norms & Roll Call

    • Diane Mangum went over norms. Dana Roseman did the roll call, and we proceeded to vote on the SOT Positions (see below).

  2. School Data

    • We have made 253 wellness checks currently. We have closed 65 SISP referrals. We have distributed 121,254 PBIS rewards points.

    • There is a district survey that closes on Friday. All were encouraged to complete it.

    • December MyOn numbers were up. Third grade finished with the most books read.

  3. Budgets and Staffing

    • You can check out the Budget on the school website.

    • We discussed what we use school generated funds for. We use them to give staff appreciation items. It is also used to give students incentive gifts. It is also used to give students fun things like mustaches, i.e. Men’s Health Awareness we had in November.

    • We hired a kindergarten teacher December 21st so now the kindergarten positions are full.

  4. CPI/CSI/School Performance Plan Progress Check

    • We have ordered 150 new cords for chromebooks since they were not all returned. 80 chromebooks will be phased out. The chromebooks are used if a student has to quarantine. The new chromebooks will come with a carrying cases.

    • MAP data will be shared at the next SOT meeting.

    • Mrs. Jackson’s class was awarded a meal for the holidays for the Waldorf-Astoria for Thanksgiving.

    • We will be closing the El Campo Grande Gates at 2:01pm each day because that is when teachers are off. Students will be escorted to the front office effective December 1st.

    • Zone variances will be done away with next year. It will be a centralized process next year called Change of School Assignment. January 11, 2022 is the deadline for 2022-2023 school year.

  5. SOT Positions (Vote)

    • Diane Mangum volunteered to be Chairperson, Gloria Terrazas as Vice Chair, Amanda Jones as Secretary, and Mary Cortez as Parlimentarian. None were opposed. Diane Mangum moved to close the vote and Melanie Alvey seconded the motion.

  6. Public Comments

    • Gloria Terrazas asked for clarification of the new zone variance policy.

  7. Next Meeting: January 19, 2022

The School Organizational Team may take items on the agenda out of order, combine two or more agenda items for consideration, and remove an item from the agenda or delay discussion relating to items on the agenda at any time.


Speakers wishing to speak during the public comment period for this meeting may sign up in person immediately prior to the beginning of the meeting. Speakers will be called in the order in which they signed up. No one may sign up for another person or yield their time to another person. Generally, a person wishing to speak during the comment period will be allowed two (2) inutes to address the School Organizational Team. Speakers may also submit additional comments in writing.  It is asked that speakers be respectful to each other, Team members, the principal and school district staff. Speakers that are  disruptive will be asked to leave the meeting.
